A 10 mile team race

by canoe, trail run, and mountain bike

for the challenge, fun, and glory of it.

A team is six people. Two team members canoe the first 3+ miles on the Occoquan River to a designate landing location. The next two team members run a 3+ mile trail south to Fountain Head Park. The last two team members mountain bike a 3+ mile circuitous route to the finish line. Each two team members must finish their leg of the course together. Teams will start the challenge 4 minutes apart so you will be racing against the clock. The team provides its own canoe, personal flotation devices, bikes, and helmets. Teams can be co-ed or single gender. There are challenge categories according to age and gender of the teams. You can enter more than one team.
