Troop 142 Upcoming Events as of March 29, 2006

Ø       Mar 29 – Troop meeting, 7:15 p.m.  Civics teacher, Mrs. Harbaugh, will visit to teach rights & responsibilities of Citizenship (advancement requirement).  Camporee signup and payment due tonight!! See Mrs. Hunter. Camporee planning begins:  patrol rosters, duty rosters, menus, flying permits, merit badge signup, first class instructor signup.  Organize the new scouts into two separate patrols.

Ø       Mar 30 – PLC meeting, 7:30 p.m. at St. William of York.

Ø       Apr 1 – Life to Eagle Seminar at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Annex 2, 10:30 a.m.  See Mrs. Purinton’s email.

            - Quartermaster Day – 9 a.m. at the Troop Trailer – Quartermaster to coordinate (Apr 8 rain date).

Ø       Apr 5 – Troop meeting, 7:15 p.m.  Camporee planning.

Ø       Apr 8 – Cub Fun Day, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Rockhill Elementary School.  Scout volunteers needed.  Contact Cheryl Dotson at new2cubs@yahoo.com, or telephone (Contact Leadership for Number).

Ø       TBD – Service project for St. William of York.  Spring cleanup.  Looking for a volunteer to coordinate.  Please see Mrs. Schultz.

Ø        Apr 12 – No troop meeting – Holy Week

Ø       Apr 13 – Aquia District Roundtable, 7:30 pm at Regester Chapel UMC, Bells Hill Road

Ø       Apr 19 – No troop meeting at St. William of York – spring break.  May set up alternate meeting for this week.

Ø       Apr 25 – Troop committee mtg., 7 p.m. at St. William of York.

Ø       Apr 26 – Troop meeting, 7:15 p.m.

Ø       Apr 27 – PLC meeting, 7 p.m. at St. William of York.

Ø       Apr 28-30 – Spring Camporee (signup sheet).  See Mrs. Hunter to sign up & pay.  Cost: $20

Ø       May 13 or 20 – Curb Painting Fundraiser.

Ø       May 20 – Aquia District Awards Dinner.

Ø       Jul 23-29 – Summer camp at Goshen Scout Reservation (signup sheet).  Deposit of $50 is due immediately if you haven’t yet paid.  Total cost of $225 (Scout) or $145 (Adult) is due by the May 10th troop mtg.  Don’t forget to use your scout bucks!!  See Mrs. Hunter to check your balance or make a payment.  Payments may be made in full or in increments each month. Lenhok’sin Trail high adventure camp is also available for scouts 13 & older.  Cost:  $285 (Scout) or $185 (Adult).
