NOTE: long pants, long sleeve shirt and shoes
that can get wet are required for swimming and lifesaving merit badges, and BSA
Lifeguard. Long trouser blue jeans
are heavy when they get wet and are harder for Scouts to use for the swimming
merit badge. It is recommended that Scouts
bring lightweight material long trousers as they are lighter to handle and use
in the water.
